Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has stated that he had no prior knowledge of ADA being included in former U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed cryptocurrency reserve. Following the announcement, Hoskinson received a wave of congratulatory messages but clarified that he was unaware of any discussions or decisions regarding ADA’s selection.

The proposal, which also includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana, triggered a sharp rally in ADA’s price, surging 76% before experiencing a correction. The move has sparked debates within the crypto community, with some questioning the criteria behind the selection of these specific assets for the reserve.

Hoskinson also confirmed that he had not been invited to the upcoming White House crypto summit, an event that is expected to shape future U.S. cryptocurrency policies. He expressed uncertainty about the selection process and emphasized that Cardano had not actively engaged in lobbying for its inclusion.

The announcement of Trump’s proposed crypto reserve has fueled speculation about how the U.S. government plans to integrate digital assets into its financial system. While the initiative remains in its early stages, the inclusion of ADA has reinforced its position as a significant player in the cryptocurrency market
