Video game developer Ubisoft is advancing its block chain goals by joining the Aleph.im network as the channel node operator, opening doors for further collaboration with the distributed cloud platform.
As a core channel node operator the video games developer is contributing to aleph.im through staking, validating and managing the decentralized network. As all nodes are able to join the network, their position as core channel node activates only after they’ve staked 500,000 ALEPH tokens.
The founder and CEO of aleph.im Jonathan Schemoul states that his company’s main mission is to make decentralized cloud service a reality.
Ubisoft’s exposure to the aleph.im network possibly grew after the block chain network participated in its Entrepreneurs Lab alongside ten other tech start-ups. The game development company has made it clear that it is pursuing broader block chain initiatives. In June 2020, the company launched block chain-based collectibles to raise funds for the United Nations Children’s Fund.
