BSC exceeds 1.5 billion lifetime transactions

Binance announced that the cumulative number of transactions on its Binance Smart Chain has exceeded 1.5 billion. The network achieved this goal 14 months after its launch on August 2020.

Binance announced that the cumulative number of transactions on its Binance Smart Chain has exceeded 1.5 billion. The network achieved this goal 14 months after its launch on August 2020. 

The daily number of transactions on the blockchain recently rose to over 10 million. There is also more than 108 million unique wallet addresses on BSC’s blockchain, which was comparatively different when considering its start.

The network has become a feasible Ethereum competitor in terms of both cost and efficiency. Based on the statistics it takes only 3.02 seconds to mine a new block on the BSC, However, BSC is far more centralized than the Ethereum network, with only 21 approved validators. Earlier in the month Binance founder Changpen Zhao announced a $1 billion accelerator fund to advance BSC and the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
